The new delegated act under the Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) Regulation was published in the EU official journal on Monday. It gives chemical producers until May 2028 for existing products and until May 2026 for new products that meet the new requirements to add hazard labels.
The new hazard classes include substances that are persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic (PBT), very persistent, very bioaccumulative (vPvB), persistent, mobile and toxic (PMT), and very persistent, very mobile (vPvM), as well as substances with known or suspected endocrine disrupting properties for humans or the environment.
