The Health and Safety Authority and ATU Sligo have launched free Workplace Safety, Health and Welfare Induction courses.
This online course is suitable for new employees, people returning to the workplace after a break, and students on work experience. It is also a useful refresher course for employees. This free short course is available on https://bit.ly/3LBmYu0 and https://bit.ly/42CkJxp
There are eight units in total. Units 1 and 2 are compulsory and are approximately 45 minutes each. Units 3-8 are optional and are approximately 20 minutes each.
If you are an employer you can select the options most appropriate to your employees. The Group Manager facility for this course is currently unavailable on hsalearning.ie. but can be accessed on the Induction course homepage on the ATU platform.
A certificate is awarded to participants for completing Units 1 and 2, and for each of the optional Units 3-8. An assessment must also be completed at the end of each Unit with a minimum score of 80% required to pass. Digital badges are also awarded for Unit completion and for completing the course in full.
