Trant O’Meara Group are looking for a QEHS Officer to join our expanding team.
We have a number of clients who require assistance with their Quality, Environmental and Safety management systems. The role will be primarily based Cork City (Little Island) with some travel expected to sites around Munster & Leinster and shall be 60% office based and 40% across a number of sites.

The Role:
- Ensure compliance with current legal requirements and promote a positive health & safety culture across all sites.
- Monitor and enforce the implementation of their Environmental & Safety Management Systems.
- Provide advice, guidance, and instruction in all environmental, health & safety matters to management and employees (including sub-contractors where appropriate).
- Perform audits and site inspections providing feedback to our clients.
- Report and investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, ensuring any corrective actions. are implemented without delay.
- Delivering Health & Safety induction for new employees or sub-contractors.
- Maintain & update training logs and book appropriate training courses as required.
- Continuously improving and embedding quality policies & procedures within the organisation.
- Reviewing, enhancing and maintaining quality controls and documentation.
- Managing and conducting internal audits according to an annual schedule.
- Within the QMS – measuring performance and identifying areas of weakness – recommending improvements & tracking action plans to completion.
- Maintenance of ISO 9001 & 14001 Management System.
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate should have 3+ years QEHS experience.
- Able to manage Health and Safety on-site using their own initiative within the scope of the management system.
- Excellent IT Skills.
- Degree or Higher Diploma desired.
- Excellent communication, leadership, training, and presentation skills including reporting to Company Directors.
