Road Safety Authority & An Garda Siochana launch Christmas Road Safety Appeal.
Did you know that over 3,500 road users suffered life-altering injuries between 2014 and 2017?
Launching its Christmas and New Year road safety appeal in conjunction with An Garda Síochána, the Road Safety Authority urges all road users to act responsibly and safely this festive period.
When it came to serious injuries among drivers and passengers, a greater proportion occurred on rural roads. Among vulnerable road users, a greater proportion of serious injuries occurred on urban roads.
All employers should take this time to remind employees who drive as part of their job to remain diligent and stay safe during this busy time.
