According to new figures from the Health & Safety Authority there were 490 work-related deaths recorded between 2010 – 2019.
The figures are contained within a new report into work related deaths produced the by the HSA. The results also show that 44% or 217 of these deaths involved vehicles over the years reviewed. Last year alone 30 people died in vehicle related incidents at work according to the figures.
Other key findings from the report show that the Agriculture sector alone accounted for over half (110) of these fatalities. The full report and findings are available to review here.
