Do you work with products containing di-isocyanates such as foams, glues or adhesives? Are you aware that from 24th August 2023, all workers (employed or self-employed) using using mixtures containing di-isocyanates (e.g. insulation and filler foams used in construction and vehicle repair), must undergo training.
Not only that but all employers are legally obliged to keep a record of successful completion and ensure its renewal every five years.
Suppliers of these products also have new obligations under these changes. They must ensure that the labelling includes the statement; “As from 24 August 2023 adequate training is required before industrial or professional use.” The suppliers must also from the 24 August 2023, check training information is available.
